The Importance of Exercise As Well As Vitamins
I am in my early 40’s. I have always considered myself to be in great health. My body type once was on the slender side. I would go as far as to say I was slightly under weight. In 2007, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. This caught me off guard. I do not have any children and I have never ever been hospitalized a day in my life. Of course I have been ill with the flu or a common cold, but that is mostly it. When I went through a divorce in 1999, I did become very sick from stress. My digestive system seemed weird and I was not able to properly digest food. I do believe this was from me grieving over the sudden passing of my Dad as well as going through the divorce at the same time. Going back to 2007 and the cancer diagnosis, needless to say, the cancer was aggressive and I was mortified. Well I made it through. I went through chemotherapy, surgery, more chemotherapy, radiation and another small surgery. It was over a year of treatment and surgeries to get me back to normal. Much to my dismay, here I go again. November 2012, I went for my routine mammogram and well I will be darn,
another blemish showed up. Originally it was diagnosed as pre-cancer cells. After the surgery, my surgeon discovered 1 centimeter of cancer. By this point, I was fit to be tied. I am really sick of cancer and being ill. Again I consider myself a woman that is in good shape. I am not a smoker, never have, I don’t do drugs, a social drinker, I eat decently and I work out. Why me? I have to tell you that during these last few months, I have been juicing. I make a spinach, carrot, grapes, and pineapple juice. I try to do this a few times a week. I take a multi vitamin, vitamin D, vitamin B-12, and a bee pollen vitamin for energy. I have also incorporated a pro-biotic. I bought a trampoline for my home after it was recommended by a dear friend. I use that weekly as well as go for long walks in the park and I play tennis with my boyfriend, I also do yoga. I can’t tell you how great I have been feeling. I do give the credit to the work I do on my mind as well. I read a lot of positive readings, excerpts, articles and I read the Bible. I believe in prayer and in journaling. Journaling keeps me focused and positive. I know without the exercise and vitamins along with everything else I named, I would not feel as well as I do. I am near the end of my 2nd treatment for breast cancer and feeling better and better each day. My energy has come back and I am doing well. I urge you to take care of yourself. Do take your vitamins and nutrients. Please incorporate some form of exercise into your life. It will make a huge difference in your life and how you feel. The best to you.
